What is AD/HD?

It's the inability to concentrate and control impulsive behaviorIt may or may not include hyperactivityIt's not anyone's fault!

Common Symptoms

Lack of focus, easily distracted, forgetful, impulsive

Why is it a problem?

May exacerbate learning problems. May affect social interactionMay lead to difficulty in everyday tasksOften results in anxiety, poor academic performance and low self esteem.

How can you help?

Understand AD/HD, develop awareness and compassionFollow recommended treatments including educational assistance, behavior training and, in some cases, medication

Throughout this site, you will find the acronyms ADD, ADHD and AD/HD used interchangeably. AD/HD is currently used to represent the disorder known as attention deficit disorder, with or without hyperactivity, in the medical and academic community.
